In 2017, nine years ago, the Boss Dog Press of Don Rash published my translation of Ernst Collin's Pressbengel as The Bone Folder. I set about to bind three copies of that edition for myself. The first two went very well, but I tortured myself with a design that didn't want to work on the 3rd copy. I'd originally planned to inset collages referencing the text and author ... Oh, well.
I recently reached out to Don for two paintings, one of a bone folder, the other of a Pressbengel. As befits the process related to this binding, I mismeasured, so had to improvise, again with the paste paper ... 🙄 Paintings are on binders board used as a work surface (material as metaphor 😉). Title stamped in graphite foil using the type faces used in the text. So, after almost 9 years, most of them spent in a box, I am now calling this done to be tucked away, in a box, again.

Now, on to the next unfinished bindings on my box. Wouldn't want whomever inherits this stuff to have anything unfinished ...
